Moebius Forever

Today, Jean Giraud – better known as Moebius – passed away at 73, after a life-long career of illustrating some of the most well-known comics. His illustrations have influenced comic book fans, writers, directors and artists alike.

okay… I’ll stop sounding so impersonal now…

I discovered Moebius through one of his later works L’Incal, on which, he collaborated with Alejandro Jodorowsky (also super awesome). And quickly fell in love.

The thing is…I was and am still a fan, Moebius. I think you’re an OG. No one can tell an epic story through pictures like you. You supply me with endless google image searches and it never gets old. I prefer your learning about the world through your crazy-surreal sketches and illustrations rather than reading a confusing history book any day.
